Maybe it was the haunting
opulent light of midnight’s
majestic grace bringing forth an
ethereal radiance so beautiful yet
never more heavenly than you;maybe.
But on that night
as the moons reflection rose
from the still waters of the pond
and the gentle breeze
placed tears in my eyes;
I saw your halo shining bright
as you wrapped your wings around me.
can you (still) feel the ocean?
the way it settles on the skin of things
and remains there, so quietly,
days after
the way the sun (and you)
colored my face,
like it was something beautiful
like it was something worth being touched
worth being kissed
the way the waves continue
and continue (and continue)
i wonder if you still feel the ocean? and me(and how far does a feeling travel at night,
when it can’t fall asleep)
